What is a Trauma-Informed Doula?

A trauma-informed doula offers support that honours your emotional, psychological, and physical safety throughout the perinatal journey.

This means:

I recognise that not everyone enters birth or parenthood with the same history or sense of safety.

I work with awareness of how trauma can shape our experiences of care, relationships, and our bodies.

I offer consent-based, respectful support — where you are always in control, never rushed, and never judged.

I’m attentive to signs of overwhelm, anxiety, sensory sensitivity, or previous trauma, and adapt care to meet you where you are.

Whether you've experienced birth trauma, coercive control, domestic abuse, neurodivergence, or just want someone calm and attuned beside you - this is a space where you can feel held, not handled.

Supporting you with care, compassion and expertise throughout your perinatal journey.
